Largest & most famous Egyptian pyramid; oldest of Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Originally 146.6 meters tall, the tallest structure for over 3,800 years. Base covers 230.3 sq meters, with a volume of 2.6 million cubic meters. Built using 2.3 million limestone/granite blocks weighing 6 million tons. Core is local limestone, outer casing finer white limestone from Tura, internal chambers granite from Aswan.

Still exists today as a major tourist attraction, but much of the original white limestone casing has been removed.
